Essay on 'Scientifically Islam' - by Dr. Zeeshan Ali Khan

 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

“Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?”

As we grow day by day, science has made too many wonders and breakthroughs that leads to more and more people believe in science than on any other thing in this world. But we should keep in mind that most of the scientists read our religious books to find the answers for their discoveries.

Professor Maurice, a great surgeon of France University along with his team in 1975 examined the body of Firon (Pharaoh), by examining that he couldn’t figure out how the body of firon is still preserved, then he started reading religious books to find the answer, he found it in Quran and then he accepted Islam. Less well remembered, however, is the impact of Islamic civilization on western science, technology, and medicine between the years 800 and 1450.

Ibn Sina was known as the Prince of Physicians who wrote books about small pox and measles which were the deadliest diseases of that time. There are too many Islamic doctors and scholars who used to read Quran, understand it, with that they did too many miracles and discoveries which we and the new generation is unaware of.

Health benefits

There are millions of discoveries in the Quran but our mind hadn’t reached that level till now to understand. For example, in Quran, Allah (swt) mentioned about the men who stayed in the cave for 300 years and didn’t get old, and Allah (swt) explained how the sunlight didn’t reach them as they were in cave and they didn’t Aged. here are the verses;

"And they remained in their cave for three hundred years and exceeded by nine"(18:25)

"And [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [laying] within an open space thereof. That was from the signs of Allah. He whom Allah guides is the [rightly] guided, but he whom He leaves astray - never will you find for him a protecting guide"(18:17).

Scientists now discovered that the biggest factor in ageing is UVA light which is emitted from sunlight. Quran is the best gift from Allah (swt) to this whole world.

Practicing Islam with full devotion is good for us in this world and hereafter. As we have been created by Allah (swt), He knows us better than us, He has given knowledge to Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) which we practice as a sunnah. Each and every saying (Hadith) of Prophet is for wellbeing of humans and all the things this world contains.

Prophet (PBUH) said about black seed and its benefits, these black seeds were tested by about 109 doctors and researchers, and it turns out to be beneficial for stomach, lungs, immunity and many more systems.

Prophet (PBUH) said about dates that "Indeed in dates there is cure", "A household that has dates does not feel hungry", if we look at the nutritional value of this fruit it is rich in calories, iron and other vitamins. These dates are especially beneficial for iron deficiency anemia (most common in young females).

Prophet (PBUH) has shown us how to perform prayer (namaz). Namaz is a type of exercise in which almost all the muscles of our body are involved, and performing ablution for 5 times will clean our parts which are not covered by clothes.

By using cell phones there will be electromagnetic rays which get pile up into our head and may cause headache, blurry vision and may lead to cancer, these rays can be sucked up by earth because of gravity. While praying we do sajda in that we touch the earth with our forehead and nose, due to which these rays will be sucked up and prevent us from diseases.

NAFS in Islam

Prophet(PBUH) and Imamuna Mehdi (PBUH) has stressed about nafs and evil desires as it may destroy your soul. Nafs can make us evil and depressed. One of the things is addiction.

Scientifically it is said that when someone is addicted to anything (drugs, adultery, alcohol, etc,) there is hormone known as dopamine (pleasure hormone) that is released. This dopamine will inhibit another hormone known as serotonin (happy or confident hormone) and Prolactin (lactation hormone). Due to inhibition of serotonin it may cause severe depression and suicidal ideation. Due to inhibition of prolactin women cannot lactate and feed their child.

SUBHAN'ALLAH each and every pros and cons of each and everything were said to us before it was arrived.

THOUGHTS: Our new generation is quite slipping into this worldly pleasures which are of no use hereafter.

"People say we cannot teach wisdom but I say that wisdom can be taught by asking ones to read and practice Quran and Hadith".
