The 2nd Mehdavia Times International Essay Writing Competition Ramazan - 1442 H - 2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters in faith.

We take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Mahe Ramazan. We hope that you all are doing well and taking utmost care of yourself , your family members and your surroundings at these turbulent times of Pandemic.

At Mehdavia Times, it is our honour and privilege to continuously connect with you all and keeping the engagement between us for the benefit of our community.

Alhamdulillah the First International Essay Writing Competition-2020 which was done done during the last Ramazan of 2020 was a grand success as we got very good response from many participants in English, Roman English and Urdu language. You can see the report on the same by click this link.

P.S: Due to the long ongoing pandemic situation, there were some deliverable – that got delayed to some of our International winners and also the delivery of Noor-e-Vilayath Subscription and Book Delivery got delayed to all by our Co-partners because of the same. However, we are following up to ensure it is delivered shortly. 

Based on public demand and overwhelming response from our readers community / visitors and many subscribers we are glad to announce the 2nd Version of the same program for the benefit of all – in lines with the primary aim of Mehdavia Times Welfare Trust i.e’  “Connecting Momins” and “Spreading the Light of Imaan”.

We take this opportunity to invite the applications for the Second Mehdavia Times International Essay Writing Competition - Ramazan 1442H- 2021.

Objective of this Competition: 

• To encourage spirit of reading, referring religious books, 
• To develop understanding Islamic & Mehdavia history, 
• To encourage discussing and seeking guidance from elders of our community and murshideen, 
• To ensure adoption of continuous learning, and developing effective communication skills, and 
• To make right use of time while at home during pandemic and spending quality time in Ramazan.

Topic: Though we had given topics for the first competition this year we would like to keep it open for your valuable thoughts and creativity, ensure that the chosen topic should emphasis on our Socio-Religious-Economic and Current Situation in the light of Quran, Hadith and Naqliat.

Time Lines: Last date to submit the completed essays is Wednesday, 29th Ramazan 1442H / 12th May 2021.  (or Eid ki Chandraat /  day before Eid-ul-Fitr whichever is earlier as India).

• Senior: candidates above 15 years of age ( as on 30 April 2021)

Evaluation Process: Mehdavia Times will identify two eminent scholars and senior writers / teachers from our community for each language, and weighted average score will be given. The entries scoring top three positions will be rewarded suitably. The jury decision will be final in all aspects.

Guidelines on Format & Content

1. The essay should be sent in M.S word format (Minimum 1000 words)
2. References should be given at the end of the essay, in proper sequence and numbering
3. It is always recommended to get it authenticated by your parents / murshid.
4. Quranic verses should be properly mentioned (Surah No. XX | Verse No. YY)
5. Copying and pasting from other sources is not encouraged, suggest to present any topic that has high relevance to the need of the hour.
6. There has to be consistency between title and subject.
7. It is highly recommended to add the practical / realistic flavour to any topic that you select.

Important Notes: 

1. Entries received after Ramazan will not be included for this competition, however we may consider them for our next competition.
2. We will not entertain any adjust karlo bhy attitude, as we have learnt a costly lesson because of this in our first competition and also we do not encourage any influence. We request all to follow strict professionalism.)
