Dr. Syed Basharath Mehdi bagged Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh FRCP in London


London - 17 Nov 2018: With immense pleasure Mehdavia Times congratulates Dr. Syed Basharath Mehdi s/o Syed Ubedullah  on securing the much deserved Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh FRCP in London on 16th of November 2018. This Fellowship is awarded to consultants or equivalent. It recognizes clinical achievement, confers international peer recognition and presents enhanced professional opportunities to contribute to standard-setting. Each year around 400 physicians from across the world are elected to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in recognition of their achievements. 

Currently Dr. Basharath is a Consultant at Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom. Earlier he has also served at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, UK. He completed his MBBS in 2004 from M.S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. He has also done MRCP (UK). (Edinburgh)

Dr. Basharath is a devote Mehdavi Muslim from Bangalore. We once again congratulate him his parents and other family members, and wish him all the best for all his future endeavours.

We pray almighty Allah (swt) to bestow more honor to all the eminent brothers of our qoum and encourage all the youngsters our community to grow professionally in all the verticals of science, management, arts and business. Aameen.

BASE hosted a thought provoking seminar for Mehdavia Community on 11 Nov 2018 in Bangalore

Bangalore - 12 Nov 2018: Bureau for Awareness for Socio Economic Empowerment [BASE] conducted a thought provoking seminar on Sunday, 11 November 2018 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Race Course Road, Bangalore. The Seminar attracted more than 250  Mehdavia Brethren from Corporate, Government, Business & Professional backgrounds not only from Bangalore but Bannur. Bhadravati, Channapatna, Kirgaval, Maddur, Mandya, Mysore & Parts of Tamil Nadu also.

The seminar was initiated with the Qirat by Hafiz-e-Quran Mohammed Khizer, of Mehdavia Farha Masjid followed by Hamd-o-Naat recitak by Janab Hasan Ali Hasan Saheb. Brother Syed Issac welcomed the audience. 

Brother Shah Nizamuddin Foujdar, delivered the keynote speech and highlighted the main objectives of the forum BASE. He told the audience that the forum was not conceptualized to compete with any of the existing organisations but to merely complement them. He also sensitized them with the idea of creating a University by the Mehadavia Community, Insha Allah as a goal the forum envisages in the longterm. He said- ‘Our Community has been the seekers of Education & Knowledge, and now the time has come for us to become the Givers of Education & Knowledge’.He reiterated the fact that, Alhamdulillah, Mehadavi Brothers and Sisters are more successful in the jobs and businesses of various verticals. And pointed that BASE, intends to connect with all of them, develop better solidarity and collaborate in finding a way to making Mehadavia Community Powerful and Influential.
Shah Nizamuddin Foujdar, who is a beacon for many in the community and the younger generation is drawn towards him as a leader for the days to come, heartily felt that the community need to churn-out many more political leaders, established bureaucrats and entrepreneurs with a progressive outlook in order to further strengthen and make Mehadavia Community powerful and influential.

Eminent Speakers from our community addressed the gathering, with their thought provoking ideas based on their experiences and professional backgrounds. Brother Syed Mohammed Suhail of Jamiat-e-Mahdavia, Matadahalli, Bangalore & Brother Syed Haneef Qureshi of Muslim Mehdavia Charitable Trust, Bangalore shared the experiences and the journey of their respective Jamats along with future plans.

Brother Mohammed Sajjad Khan addressed the gathering on Law & Order and Social Evils.
He cautioned parents to keep a watch on their kids and advise them to keep away from anti social activities and social evils. He stressed on learning Kannada as a language, which will help them in better communication with various departments and also help them in getting into Government Jobs. Further he advised all to keep reading about our past and implement the practices of our fore fathers, and avoid being lazy and try to excel in the chosen professions. He encouraged youngsters to join police and defense services.

Brother Masood Faujdar - Ex Chairman KMDC gave a talk on role of Mehdavis in India Political arena. And contributions of Political Personalities in past and contemporary times.

Janab Mohammed Iqbal Saheb - General Secretary - Karnataka Muttahida Mahaz, addressed the gathering on NGO Advantage and informed on how can our various organisations take advantages and benefits from various Government schemes. 

Brother Syed Naveed Mehdi conducted a Panel discussion with the panelists - Mr.Mohammed Sajjad Khan - Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr.Masood Faujdar - Ex Chairman KMDC, Prof: Syed Shahabul Haq & Mr.Mohammed Nadeem - Educationist, Channapatna. The panelists discussed on value education, parenting tips and on career guidance. Mr.Sajjad stressed on going back to our roots and shape the future through disciplining oneself by observing namaz on time and making time for studying. Mr.Nadeem stressed on focusing the ABCD to get E, that is, Aptitude & Attitude, Behavior, Character & Discipline to get Education. Mr.Masood Faujdar informed about the  the Govt schemes which our students can avail. Prof: Shahabul Haq - Retired Director  National Institute of Unani Medicine, Bangalore, stressed on working at grassroots level to nurture the character building in children. He compared the current system as watering the leaves instead of roots. He opined that this kind of interactions, panel discussions, and debates should be done more frequently and do deep diving in the subject so as to find a way forward.

Brother Syed Mohammed Suhail gave a beautiful presentation on the topic Mehdavis in the Corporate Arena. He advised on how to help each other, through career guidance & mentoring. he also advised on how to cope up with peer pressure & office politics and excel in corporate world.

Hz.Peer-o-Murshid Syed Waliullah Ibrahimi Saheb - represented Ijma-e-Groh-e-Mehdavia, Channapatna expressed his happiness and blessings to all the brothers who have formed BASE which is the need of the hour.  He said that it is good that all the proficient members of our community coming together, and it will make our community stronger and empowered in the near future. He assured his full support and guidance to BASE in order to carrying out developmental activities.

Brother Inayath Ulla Khan delivered vote of thanks and quoted Bahadur Yar Jungs by saying today the community need not have beautiful buildings & minarets but stone which can get buried in  soil to become a basement so that future generations can build on this basement while comparing the members of BASE to be the stones.

The seminar was compered by Brother Syed Suhail Rasheed Nizami & Brother Syed Naveed Mehdi in Urdu & English respectively.

The seminar got concluded with recitation by Tasbee lead by Hz.Peer-o-Murshid Syed Waliullah Ibrahimi Saheb. .
