Ramadan 2026 / 1447H, a flashback in the times of uncertainty in middle east and globally

Assalamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Faith.

As the blessed and sacred month of Ramzan ul Muqaddas departed last month, I humbly pray that our supplications and acts of worship are graciously accepted by Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala, through His infinite mercy and grace, and by the Sadaqa of Khaatimain-e-Nabuwat wa Vilayat Alayhi Salam.

This year’s Ramzan unfolded against the backdrop of an unusual and deeply sensitive escalation in the Middle East, where geopolitical tensions have cast a shadow over many nations. Yet, amidst this turbulence, I feel profoundly grateful that Allah has preserved peace and bestowed His barakat upon the State of Qatar. It is here, alongside my family, our beloved brothers and sisters in faith, and countless other people, that we continue to reside in safety and harmony in this blessed country.

I do not wish to deep dive into the details of the regional crisis, as there are far more suitable platforms for such information and forums. However, one profound and recurring realization that I feel compelled to share is this: everything unfolds solely by the will of Allah, the Creator (Khaaliq). Even in times of turmoil, these very moments of crisis remind us;

  • to remain steadfastly Positive
  • to guard ourselves against despair, and
  • to nurture the spirit of living this temporary life with purpose
That purpose is none other than making Allah Raazi by performing righteous deeds for the sake of Allah, while never losing sight of our ultimate intention to seek His pleasure, satisfaction, and approval in every aspect of our existence.

Despite the challenging circumstances, the regional group Khidmat-e-Ramadan, Doha Qatar demonstrated remarkable resilience and dedication by consistently engaging with our brothers in faith regarding the feasibility of organizing the Dugana Laylatul Qadr Farz Namaz — the most blessed night in our belief, falling on the 27th of Ramzan. Truly, this group has been a source of blessing for our local Mehdavia community, undertaking every possible effort and planning to facilitate these sacred prayers every Ramadan. Yet, as I mentioned earlier, all outcomes rest in the divine will of Allah, reminding us once again of His supreme authority and wisdom. We planned, and planned and Allah is always the best planner. Respecting the law of the land, Brothers were therefore encouraged to perform the Dugana Laylatul Qadr Farz namaz in their respective houses and logical congregation with Imamat based on permission from their respective Peer o Murshid.

Ultimately “Our Actions are judged by Allah based on our intentions, and every person will be rewarded according to their intention.” Another hadith on intentions: Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” (Sahih Muslim 2564).

This Ramadan 1447H taught us that Allah is indeed merciful, and the very feeling of Ittefaaq (Harmony) and Ittehaad (Coalition) was felt internally within our hearts even though we couldn’t join all together  this year in the blessed Laylatul Qadr. My beloved parents whose flight tickets were auto-cancelled due to airspace closure, thereby leaving us spend the holy month without their invaluable presence. And it truly taught us that being positive in life is the only mantra to stay fit mentally, spiritually and physically no matter whatever challenges surrounds us. To our brothers and sisters in faith, I can mention that embedding the words Qadr, Sabr and Tawakkal into our mindset;

  • Qadr that means ‘if it is meant for you, it will find you,’
  • Sabr that means ‘what is written to be yours, is already yours’, And
  • Tawakkal i.e ‘Trust Allah unconditionally, If something is destined for you, never in a million years will it be for somebody else.’

I personally feel a lot of weightage that does to a basic word called Gratitude that helps shift focus from scarcity to abundance. It’s about choosing gratitude, focusing on possibilities, and acting with resilience even when life is difficult. I can quote from a beautiful Hadith, The Messenger of Allah () said, "Any matter of importance which is not begun with Alhamdu-lillah (praise be to Allah) remains defective." [Abu Dawud].

I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by our brothers in faith here, by the grace of Allah and through the Sadaqa of Khaatimain Alayhi Salam. These spiritual bonds, formed without any transactional motives, stand in contrast to the worldly relationships we often witness today with several people we meet. The strength of these connections flows only from the purity of our hearts, and it is this sincerity that makes them so vigorous and enduring. While I have shared a few photos of our brothers in faith from this Ramzan 1447H, the essence of this bond extends far beyond the individuals captured in these shared images who hails from blessed dayeras of Channapatna, Gokak, Hyderabad, Gujarat, it reflects the collective spirit of unity, devotion, and love that defines our community.

I am not certain how long these geopolitical tensions will endure, but one truth remains fundamental: Our unwavering intention in this life is to seek Allah’s pleasure and to embrace the path that pleases Him. Some of the most powerful tools bestowed upon us — Zikrullah, Namaz, Fasting, Istighfaar, Darood o Salawat, Nurturing bonds with our closed ones and righteous people, Reciting abundant duas, and Maintaining a perpetual connection with the Quran-e-Majeed and the Seerat of Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam and Taalimaat of Hazrat Khalifatullah Mehdi Maud Alayhi Salam are what truly strengthen us as strong believers. They guide us to remain steadfast, to cultivate resilience, and to live this temporary life with sincerity and devotion, always striving to make our Creator Raazi.

The remembrance of Allah every moment remains non-negotiable and I always quote a famous saying from the beloved grandfather of my Peero Murshid Hazrat Faqeer Shah Fareeduddin Miyan Nizami “Yaad Hai To Aabad Hai, Warna Barbaad Hai” -  Hazrat Shah Abdul Sattar Al Maroof urf Abji Miyan RH.

In my concluding notes, I can only say that all our matters are in the hands of Allah the Almighty. Our strong patience when facing difficulties during these uncertainties raises our status in front of Allah, and may lead to the forgiveness of our sins. As Allah says in the Quran: “Only those who are patient shall receive their reward in full, without reckoning.” (Surah Az-Zumar:10)

I sincerely pray that all our brothers and sisters in faith - whether residing here in Doha, across the Middle East, or in every corner of the globe remain safeguarded in their physical, mental, and professional lives. May we always dwell in the Panaah of Allah in this temporary world, enriched with the priceless wealth of Imaan, and may Allah, through His boundless grace and mercy, grant us departure from this dunya in a state of acceptance, Ba Sadaqe Tufail Khaatimain Alayhi Salam.

Aameen ya Rabbal Aalameen

Duas for Peace During Ramazan: A Message to Mehdavia Families in Qatar & the Middle East

Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

فَاللّٰهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظًا ۖ وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

“Allah is the Best Protector, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.”
(Surah Yusuf 12:64)

My dear Mehdavia brothers and sisters in faith from India residing in Qatar and the Middle East,

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

As I have always observed, you have come together with devotion to organize and participate in the sacred annual gatherings of Lailatul Qadr prayers every year. Alhamdulillah, I feel privileged to share that through Mehdavia Times, we too have remained humbly involved in supporting these efforts through data gathering, coordination, and communication for the annual gathering for many years. It is truly heartening to witness your unity and unwavering commitment to faith and community.

Unfortunately, the recent outbreak of war may have created a sense of uncertainty, concern, and unrest among you as expatriates living there, while also causing anxiety for your families back home in India.

In these challenging times of uncertainty and conflict, my thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with each one of you and your families. As we observe the blessed days of Ramazan — a month of mercy, patience, and reflection — I pray that Allah (SWT) protects you, grants you safety, and fills your homes with peace and reassurance. Aameen!

May Allah accept your duas, rozas, and ibadat, reward you abundantly, grant you safety during this holy month and beyond, and shower His endless blessings upon you all.

Our prayers also extend to the families and communities living in other war-prone regions across the Middle East who are facing uncertainty and hardship. May Allah grant them protection, patience, and peace in these difficult times. We also remember all our Indian brothers and sisters working and residing in these sensitive zones, praying for their safety, well-being, and safe return to their loved ones.

In these sensitive times, I humbly advise everyone to remain cautious, follow the guidance of local authorities and our honorable Embassies in your respective countries, avoid unnecessary movement, and stay connected with one another so that no member of our community feels alone or uninformed.

Let this Ramazan strengthen our unity, increase our duas for peace, and renew our faith in Allah’s protection — for indeed, with patience and prayer comes relief.

May Allah safeguard you all, accept your fasting and prayers, and grant peace and harmony to the world.

Ameen

Kindly say Aameen and confirm your safety in the comments box please.

With prayers and warm regards,
Your brother in faith,
Inayath Ulla Khan

Celebration of the 600th Milad-e-Hazrat Khalifatullah Mehdi Maud (Alayhi Salam) in Doha, Qatar

As salamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, Dear Brothers and Sisters in faith.

It gives me immense joy to share reflections on the blessed occasion of the 600th Milad-e-Hazrat Khalifatullah Mehdi Maud (Alayhi Salam) celebrated here in Doha, Qatar on 7th November 2025.

In my humble understanding, any Jalsa or gathering held in remembrance of our Buzurgan-e-Deen should serve as a means of drawing closer to Allah, enlightening our hearts, and strengthening our faith and beliefs. Such gatherings are not merely events, but spiritual reminders of our purpose and devotion.

This year, my family and I were honoured to receive an invitation from Bhai Ikram Ansari, who hails from Dayera-e-Channapatna, Karnataka. His dedication to community service for the sake of Allah is truly inspiring. May Allah accept his noble deeds, grant him and his family abundant blessings (ba-barkat), and reward them with success in this life and the hereafter. Almost twelve to fifteen families were invited to the Jalsa and our brothers were delighted to participate in good numbers.

The Jashn-e-Milad - Mehdi ahs was a beautiful reminder of unity, faith, and gratitude. The gathering was filled with recitations, heartfelt speeches, and collective prayers, all of which created an atmosphere of serenity and spiritual upliftment. Success of such event’s are also dependent on prayers of our Murshideen across India who have indirectly or directly impacted my faith and personally strengthened my spirituality by meeting them or hearing their sermons.

Program Sequence of Milad-e-Hazrat Khalifatullah Mehdi Maud (Alayhi Salam) – 7th November Evening

The blessed gathering unfolded with spiritual depth and heartfelt devotion. The sequence of the event was as follows:

  • Congregational Ishaa Prayers under the Imamat of Bhai Aejaz Najmi
  • Tilawat-e-Qur’an by Bhai Adil Raza Abdul Hafeez
  • Zikr-e-Mehdi Maud (Alayhi Salam) in Qur’an-e-Majeed by Bhai Aejaz Najmi
  • Naat-e-Rasool (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) and Naat-e-Mehdi Maud (Alayhi Salam) by Bhai Mohammed Azam
  • Taqreer on Jashn-e-Milad covering topics on the need of the hour delivered by myself (Tausif D Sayyed).

Key Themes of my Sermon Taqreer

By the Fazal of Allah and under the spiritual guidance of my Peer-o-Murshid Hazrat Mashayaq Shah Fareeduddin Miyan Nizami Qibla Ahl-e-Chanpatan, I was able to structure my sermon as follow:

  • Taalimat-e-Mehdi Maud (Alayhi Salam): Emphasizing the timeless guidance of Hazrat Mehdi Maud (Alayhi Salam) by reflecting on his life and preachings.
  • Implementation in daily life: Encouraging believers to apply these teachings fearlessly in practical ways, despite challenges.
  • Hurdles and Jaza (Rewards): Reminding that every obstacle faced in the path of faith brings divine reward and spiritual elevation.
  • Importance of book reading: Stressing the need to engage with Qur’an-e-Majeed, books of our buzurgan-e-deen, and historical accounts that strengthen our belief system.
  • Historical reflection: Sharing the story of Sultan Hussain Sharkhi’s battle as an example to illustrate how the sayings of Hazrat Mehdi Maud (Alayhi Salam) have always proven true. Especially the story of Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Sayyed Khundmir Siddiq e Vilayat RZ on asking to accept the Pebbles (kankar) as Jewel (Johar) amongst his companion to rule out any doubt on Farameen e Khalifatullah Mehdi Maud Alayhi Salam.

With regards to history, I personally believe that people who forget their history cannot make history.

And the ever-awakening message that used to be spoken by beloved grandfather of my Peero Murshid i.e Hazrat Shah Abdul Sattar Al Maroof urf Abji Miyan RH, “YAAD HAI TO AABAD HAI WARNA BARBAAD HAI”.

Hence, it is non-negotiable to remember our history and understand that Mehdaviyat is true essence of Islam.

May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala accept the efforts of all, reward them abundantly, and keep our community united in faith and service.

May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala accept the efforts of all, reward them abundantly, and keep our community united in faith and service Ba Sadaq-e-Tufail Khaatimain Nabuwat wa Vilayat Alayhi Salam..

Aameen ya Rabbal Aalameen.
