As the pandemic still continues worldwide, we have experienced back to back Lock-downs at our respective locations, to stop the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and this time too it is coupled with the occurrence of the Holy Month of Ramzan 1442H.
Similar to last year, Mehdavia Times took the initiative to conduct an International Essay writing Competition for Mehdavia Students , Professionals and everyone during the holy month of Ramzan.
Alhamdulillah, even this initiative was decided lately, and on demand by the participants of last essay competition and our well-wishers, with immense pleasure we proceeded ahead to announce the Second Mehdavia Times International Essay Writing Competition and received a very good response from participants from all over the world.
This time, we kept the topics open to the participants so that they can select their respective topic, and hinted them to consider the practical aspects of the topic to make it more best realistic.
By the grace of Allah, Sadaqa of Buzurgan e Deen, Dua of our Murshideen e Ikram, and our elders we had a great zoom session, that consisted of below sequence:

- Presentation of Mehdavia Times 12 years Journey by Janab Tausif D Sayyed, Global Coordinator for Mehdavia Times
- Address by Guest of Honour Janab Syed Mohammed Suhail Sahab, Treasurer, Jamiat-e-Mahdavia, Matadahalli, Bangalore.
- Addressing by Chief Guest Hazrat Peer o Murshid Moulana Syed Mohammed Sarfaraz Mehdi Tashreefullahi Saheb Qibla, Hyderabad.

- Tasbeeh led by Hazrat Peer o Murshid Moulana Syed Mohammed Sarfaraz Mehdi Tashreefullahi Saheb Qibla, Hyderabad.
Murshideen and Guests Congratulated all the participants and the winners of the essay competition and they also congratulated Janab Inayath Ulla Khan Saheb and his team on completion of Mehdavia Times and appreciated and acknowledged its consistent services since more than a decade.
Some Points Pondered Over:
- Janab S.M Suhail Saheb brought the attention towards Urdu seeing poor participation in this category. He also brought to the notice that majority of the participation has come form Roman Urdu (almost 65%).
- All the speakers discussed on the importance of the Urdu as a language and discussed deeply on how to improve it.
- Janab Inayath Ulla Khan brought the importance of referring to religious books regularly, and he highlighted the features of the latest book by Janab Maqsood Ali Khan Saheb titled '365 Din - Majmoa-e-Mazaamin', and how it has become a daily ritual of reading it as a Nutritional Capsule with daily dose of Deeni Talim and recommended all to read it. He also announced that Mehdavia Times will send a copy to all the winners shortly.
Important Announcements:
- All the winners will get a token of appreciation cash prize as mentioned above in your accounts which were provided to us along with entries along with Certificates by email and whatsapp. Books will be sent by courier after the lifting of lockdown.
- A weekly Online Urdu Course will be started soon, details will follow
- A management Development Program 'Financial Literacy Course' on how to manage ones earnings and start saving will be conducted in mid of June 2021 in association with CDSL & SEBI for which a Joint Certificate with CDSL will be provided.
Now we are glad to announce the results of the 2nd International Essay Competition here in our blog for your reference. The richness in the submitted content and experiencing the huge talent amongst our younger generation, their excellent capability to pen down the great values of Islam to enlighten self as well as others in the best practical way is worth appreciating. These competitions are never a win-lose competitions however, it really helps not only the participants and their beloved ones, but also us, and the entire community in upgrading and enhancing our thoughts, knowledge levels to the next level in both Duniya-o-Akhirat.
We categorized the essays in the Junior and Senior Category for English, Urdu and Roman language, also welcomed other regional languages too, to help recognize the blissful content written by the budding writers of our community:
The honorable Jury of this contest were Janab Syed Mohammed Suhail Sahab, Bangalore and Internal Jury comprising of Janab Hasan Mahedi Kalekazi Sahab, Janab Syed Mahaboob Miya Saheb, Janab Tausif D Sayyed Sahab, Hajia Shabreen Begum Saheba and the Editor in Chief of Mehdavia Times Janab Inayath Ulla Khan Sahab. All of them did a wonderful job of evaluating each entry and recognizing the best essays for their respective categories. We thank them for their immense efforts and time invested in this project, without which it would have been a challenge for the organizers to announce the results.
