600 Years of Meelad-e-Mahdi (AS) to be Marked with a Series of Events in Channapatna

Channapatna - 17 Sep 2025: The Mahdavia community of Channapatna, Karnataka, India has announced a line-up of events to commemorate the 600th year of Meelad-e-Mahdi (AS). Insha Allah the programmes will span October and November, blending knowledge, spirituality, unity, and brotherhood.

The celebrations will commence with a Meelad Quiz Competition on October 11–12, followed by the Meelad-e-Mahdi (AS) Cricket Tournament from October 18–20. A Meelad Essay Writing Contest will be held on October 19 to encourage the youth to express their understanding of Islam.

In November, the focus will shift to spiritual gatherings with Jalsa-e-Meelad-e-Mahdi (AS) on November 6, featuring speeches on the mission and virtues of Hz. Imam Syed Mohammed Jaunpuri Mahdi Maud (AS). On November 22, a Julus-e-Meelad-e-Mahdi (AS) will take place, marking six centuries of remembrance.

The grand finale will be the Nizam-e-Amal-e-Daira from November 28–30, a global spiritual congregation promoting faith, unity, and community brotherhood, open to males above 11 years. Register yourself to attend this spiritually charged Nizam-e-Amal-e-Daira — and experience the practical life of daira as lived and preserved by our pious forefathers.
