Mehdavis observe the 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐦 as the 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 — ‘𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟𝐢 𝐊𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐧’

As-Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

As per the noble practice of Imam Hasan (Rz), we Mehdavis observe the 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐦 as the 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 — ‘𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟𝐢 𝐊𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐧’. On this day, we visit our neighbours, relatives, and loved ones to forgive and seek forgiveness.

We do this by saying: "𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐨, 𝐖𝐚𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐊𝐞"

(𝑃𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑔𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑑𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑐ℎ 𝑚𝑎𝑦 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 ℎ𝑢𝑟𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 — 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝐴𝑙𝑙𝑎ℎ).

In response, we declare:

 ‘𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐡𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐲𝐚, 𝐀𝐚𝐩 𝐁𝐡𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐣𝐢𝐲𝐞.’ 

(𝐼 𝑡𝑜𝑜 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑔𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑛 — 𝑚𝑎𝑦 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑙𝑠𝑜 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑔𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑚𝑒.)

On this auspicious day, I humbly ask you, for the sake of Allah (SWT), to please forgive and forget anything I may have said or done — whether on your face or behind your back, knowingly or unknowingly — that may have caused you any hurt or discomfort.

𝐖𝐚𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐒𝐖𝐓 𝐊𝐞, 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐞.

𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐲𝐚, 𝐀𝐚𝐩 𝐁𝐡𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐣𝐢𝐲𝐞.

May Allah (SWT) bless us all with His Noor and Vision, and grant us the honor to live and die as true Momineen. Aameen
