Alhamdulillah, we had an opportunity meet Miss. Muskan Khan the Sherni in Hijab - the lioness of Mandya and her parents yesterday in Mandya. We had a detailed discussion with regards to the incident she faced recently with regards to #Hijab, which made her famous overnight as she faced the hooligans by saying الله أكبر in response to the slogans opposing hijab, in PES college Mandya on 7th Feb 2022. 

It is learnt that Muskan's family is unfortunately facing unwanted stress due to lot of rumors' created by few antisocial elements. Some of them were erupted unintentionally due to unnecessary excitement by few people and some were made intentionally to suppress her growing popularity across the globe. They are very upset about some Social Media anchors who are attacking her image with forged pictures and saying that crores of rupees being given to her by some celebrities (which is absolutely false). They are planning to start a free ambulance service in the name of Muskan in Mandya in what ever honorarium they have got unsolicited from a couple of organisations. They were more pained due to the unwanted speeches by some Ulema attacking her Taalim wa Tarbiyat given by her parents pertaining to the handshake(musafa), which she did with an elderly person and got blessings, who is of the age of her grand father. 

Please note that, as per our conversation with her & her family, it is learnt that she is no way connected to any political party nor any propaganda as rumored by few media houses, and all that happened was spontaneous, as a reaction to the action. 

Don’t believe rumors and always trust your heart. If you start believing gossip and drama without having all the information, you’ll never know the truth. This collection of rumor quotes will remind you not to spread or believe hearsay. At the end of the day, spreading rumors makes you look dishonest and untrustworthy. Rumors can damage someone’s reputation or hurt their feelings. Our words are powerful, so we have to be careful not to spread drama and lies.

We humbly request all our brothers and sisters to refrain from commenting, getting too sentimental or throwing wrong messages on social media that will backfire our community and hinder in the cause for which these brave daughters standing for.

As we have the strongest faith in Allah SWT, we await the judgement from the court that InshaAllah justice to our sisters will prevail.

A report on Jalsa-e-Taziyath in honour of Marhum Hz. Faqeer Syed Shafiullah Khundmiri Saheb held on 12th Feb 2022 in Chanchalguda Hyderabad

 

Hyderabad 13 Feb 2022: Committee Naujawan Quam e Mehdavia Hyderabad had hosted a Jalsa-e-Taziyath in honour of Marhum Hz. Faqeer Syed Shafiullah Khundmiri Saheb on Saturday, 12^th Feb 2022 in Hz. Murtuza Sahab Yadullahi’s Masjid Khalla Chanchalguda Hyderabad. The program was presided over by Hz Peer-o-Murshid Syed Mohammad Sarfaraz Mehdi Tashreefullahi Sahab Qibla with Chief Guest Guest of Mubibbe-e-Millat Hz.Maqsood Ali Khan Saheb – Sarparast-e-Idara Tanzeem Mehdavia Hyderabad and Guest of Honour Janab Inayath Ullah Khan Saheb – Founder & Managing Trustee Mehdavia Times Welfare Trust, Bangalore.

The Jalsa started after namaz-e-isha with Qirat-e-Kalaam by Brother Mohammed Tabreek Nizami Saheb.

Many learned members of the community and murshideen spoke about the services rendered by Marhum Hz. Faqeer Syed Shafiullah Khundmiri Saheb and recalled their association and experiences with him.

Maqsood Ali Khan Saheb, and the presidential address was delivered by Hz Peer-o-Murshid Syed Mohammad Sarfaraz Mehdi Tashreefullahi Sahab Qibla.

All the speakers put light on the life and services of Marhum who spent his whole life in propagating the message of Hz. Syed Mohammed Mehdi Maud Juanpuri ^AHS. May Allah shower his infinite mercy on Marhum with his divine vision (Deedar) and May Allah give Sabr-e-Jameel to all his relatives and family members.  Aameen.

On a journey of Spiritual, Social and Educational Discussions with Brother Inayath Ulla Khan of Mehdavia Times by Mansoor Ahmed Khan

Dear friends I am glad to share with you that the Members and the admins of Mehdavia Times group are delivering a highly commendable service to our community apart from administering this esteemed group.  

On last Saturday and Sunday (12^th & 13^th Feb 2022) I had the privileges to spend a lot of time with Brother Inayath Ulla Khan Saheb who was on a visit to Hyderabad to attend the Taziyati Program Organised by CNQE, Hyderabad in honor of Marhum Hz. Faqeer Syed Shafiullah Khundmiri Saheb who expired on 6^th Feb 2022 in Channapatna.  I took the opportunity to invite him to be my guest during his stay in Hyderabad. 

Alhamdulliah, we started early on Sunday and visited Dairah Shuhada Chanchalguda along with him. We had a series of conversations on a number of topics and met quite a few persons of high intellect and knowledge in Hyderabad.  Some of them are Peer wo Murshid Hazrat Sarafaraz Miyan Tashrifullahi Sahab, Hazrat Maqsood Ali Khan Sahab, author of scores of books, Janab Syed Mahmood Rafat Mujtahedi, Deputy Director T.S. Department of Translation, Janab Shahid Ali Khan, Sr. Journalist, former reporter of Saudi Gazette Riyadh, K.S.A. We also wanted to meet Peer wo Murshid Hazrat Manzoor Miya Sahab Ahle Hasteda and Peer wo Murshid Hazrat Ather Miyan Sahab Ahle Hasteda but on account of their absence from Hyderabad we could not see them.  Hazrat Ather Miyan's  father Janab Syed Ateeq Miya Sahab offered lunch to the guest along with me and  Janab S.A.Q. Jilani Saheb. Mr. Jilani escorted Mr. Khan from his arrival till departure.  He also took him to Peer wo Murshid Hazrat Bakhtiyar Alam Sahab in Musheerabad and Dairah Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Qasim Mujtahid-e-Giroh ^ra.

A mini valedictory program was held at the residence of Hazrat Maqsood Ali Khan Saheb.  Mr. Khan had brought the certificates and books for the winners (residing in Hyderabad) of the 2^nd International Essay Writing Competition held in 2021 organized by Mehdavia Times Welfare Trust. Most of the Certificates and books have already been couriered or delivered in person. 

His team is planning to organize the third international essay writing competition to be held in Ramadhan this year Insha Allah. They are also having planned Urdu coaching program to enable the youth to understand our deen in a better way Insha Allah, we may expect an official announcement soon from Mehdavia Times themselves.  

May Allah accept their perseverance, bless this team with still more wisdom. Bless us all with eiman and understanding of our Deen.  Aameen!

Amrbil Maroof & Nahi Anil Munkar - Enjoining Good & Forbidding Evil – a brief article in response to criticism on Murshideen by Janab Mansoor Ahmed Khan Saheb

A MehdaviMurshid is usually the descendant of both the Prophet and the Promised Mehdi peace be upon them.   He represents Rasoolwo Mehdi^{AlaihimAssalam}. He works for Amrbil Maroof &Nahi Anil Munkar Enjoining Good & Forbidding Evil.

A Murshid is the spiritual leader.  "Guide" or "Teacher".

A murid takes an oath of allegiance (bai'at) with a Murshid for the sake of Allah to get closer to Allah to seek Allah and ultimately get the deedar of Allah.

The holy Qur’ān (48:10) states about the oath of allegiance, "Verily they who pledge unto thee their allegiance pledge it unto none but God. The Hand of God is above their hands."This is the oath of allegiance to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him by His^(PBUH)companions ^Rz.A on hearing the rumour of assassination of Hz Uthman Bin Affan^(Rz.A) in connection with the pact of Ridhwaan.

This kind of oath of allegiance is practiced by the Mehdavi (Murshid) Religious overseer and his disciples(Murid).

The word Murshid is derived from the root word rushd, with the basic meaning of having integrity, being sensible, mature and a person who has acquired a very high level of knowledge, wisdom and attained a very high level of spirituality.  

A Murshid keeps himself busy in the dhikr of Allah and is a staunch practitioner of the teachings of the two Muhammads^{Alaihim-Assalam}.

The murshid's role is to spiritually guide and verbally instruct the disciple on to the path leading to the pleasure of Allah ^{SubhanawoTa'ala.}

Hz. Peer wo Murshid Sarfaraz Miya Sahab has done justice to his position of a religious overseer by pointing out the evils prevailing in the society.    On many occasions he has been uncompromising in vocalising his pure thoughts on the wrong practices of the society.  May Allah increase his tribe and wisdom.Aaameen!

The practice of Mahdavi Dairas has faded out due to us being more interested in worldly pleasures.  (Alduniya Jiifa)   We are not making out time for the company of the righteous.  Thus we are unable to learn through company of righteous. To keep us abreast of time and bring us closer to Allah Hazrat Sarfaraz Miyan Sahab uses the modern technology to reach out to us.

He is a Sadiq who is trying to reach out to us instead of us reaching to him.  Instead of listening to his programs we are discouraging him by unnecessary criticism. On the contrary we must be thankful to him for his efforts in Amr bil Maroof &Nahi Anil Munkar.

Has he committed any major sin by pointing out the wrong thing?   Is he not supposed to point out the evils?   It is not just a Murshid but every one of us is supposed to keep practicing our creed and point out the wrong of anyone.  (Amr bil Maroof & Nahi Anil Munkar- Enjoining Good & Forbidding Evil)

If we priorities personal freedom over our collective responsibility we are liable to be punished by Allah SubhanawoTa'ala (Aoozubillahi min zalik) like Umma of many Prophets.

Mehdavia Times & Anjuman-e-Mehdavia, Channapatan felicitated Abdul Khader Jeelani for his remarkable achievement of performing Ziyarath e Buzurgan e Deen, completing an adventurous journey on his Scooter in 11 states of India

Channapatna, Feb 11: There are examples all over the world where people have been able to travel around the world by bicycle or by motorcycle. But their journeys have taken place at a time when both climatic and diplomatic conditions were perfectly normal and conducive. 

The whole world witnessed a series of lockdowns since the spread of coronavirus. Many people were stranded at various places, people lost jobs, we saw a massive reverse migration of masses. A new work from home culture started and many people glued to their televisions or took up to fulfill their long pending desire to pick up a hobby. Janab Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani Saheb,, a native of Hyderabad, decided to perform ziyarat of Buzurgaan e Deen  during the lockdown. He took his son Syed Ata ur Rehman with him and left with the necessary belongings. 

Addressing a special evening program organised by Mehdavia Times Welfare Trust ® in honor of Janab Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani Saheb at the Muslim office of Muslim Anjuman Mahdavia Chenapatana, said that he did not had any problem during the journey which prevented him from traveling. Yes, it happened that there was a food shortage, since there was a lockdown in some places, but they chose to continue their journey. Staying overnight in the courtyards of Buzurgan e deen (dairas /haziras /darghas / tombs or masajids ) and traveling all day was our hobby. He mentioned "Many times we passed through the jungles during the nights as well. Once upon a time we also encountered a cheetah. But by the grace of Allah we did not have any trouble." The journey lasted a total of 24 days. At the mileage of 38 km per liter, a total of 225 liters of petrol was used which cost around Rs. 22,000/-. 

The journey started from Telangana > Maharashtra > Gujarat > Rajasthan > Punjab > Haryana > Delhi > Uttar Pradesh > Uttarakhand > Madhya Pradesh > Chhattisgarh > Andhra Pradesh and concluded at Telangana.

He shared that they never encountered any glitch in their scooter all through the journey. Even the tires maintained its air pressure, and occasionally he used to check the same. They never had an occasion of fuel getting exhausted. They used to fill small milk bottles with petrol for emergencies. In fact they helped other motorists enroute by giving a bottle of petrol wherever they spotted. And also towed vehicles a couple of times that underwent breakdown too.

As there was lockdown all across they never found heavy traffic, it was absolute zero traffic which helped them maintain proper speed and consistency in their journey.

A word of caution: Though he narrated his travelogue in detail and its excitements and the memorable incidents, he cautioned that it is not recommended to take up such a risky journey on a two wheeler for such a long duration in jungles and amid heavy traffic of monstrous vehicles.

Desire to perform Umrah on Scooter: Jeelani Saheb expressed his desire to perform Umrah on the same Scooter in near future Insha Allah. He said that all the planning, route, and logistics have been planned meticulously and he has been working on the visa procedures. He is just waiting for the required permissions from the government to start his journey and he believes that he will definitely get the permission Insha Allah soon.

Felicitation Program: Mahdavia Times Welfare Trust ® in association with Muslim Anjuman Mehdavia, Chanpatna felicitated Janab Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani Saheb with Shwals and Garlands on Sunday  6th Feb 2022 in Chanapatna. Janab Jeelani Bhy had been to Chanpatna to attend the Janazah of Marhum Faqeer Syed Shafiullah Khundmiri Saheb and stayed back to attend the wedding of two sons of Hz. Peer-o-Murshid Shah Fareed Miyan Nizami in Chanpatna. As the other core member of Mehdavia Times Janab Tausif D Sayyed also was present, who had come all the way from Qatar, a felicitation program was planned in Bangalore on 6th Feb 2022 in honor of Janab Syed Abdul Khader Jeelani Saheb. But since Janab Jeelani Bhy had a train to catch to visit Kasargod for ziyarath the next day, hence it was decided to arrange the same in Chanpatna itself. When Janab Inayath Ulla Khan expressed his desire to felicitate Jeelani bhy in front of Janab Mohammed Sabirullah - President Anjuman-e-Mehdavia Chanpatna he was overjoyed and extended his hand to do the same jointly. The program was arranged with a very short notice and we had a good number of people participate in the program too. On this occasion, Janab Inayath Ulla Khan gave a brief introduction of Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani and his remarkable ziyarath tour performed on a scooter. 

Appreciation to Mehdavia Times and Anjuman-e-Mehdavia, Chanpatan:  Janab Jeelani Saheb took the opportunity to appreciate the work of Mehdavia Times Welfare Trust through various means and channels. He sighted the value addition and applauded the vision of Connecting Momins through various platforms.  He said "The management style and attention to detail usage of technology in Deeni khidmat and the way Mehdavia Times organizes programs at distant lands through proper coordination and team work silently and effectively is phenomenal."

He also expressed his desire to join hands with Mehdavia Times whenever, whatever, and wherever it would be necessary.  Honoring the newly elected committee of Anjuman-e-Mehdavia, Chanpatan, he said "A mixture of both young, educated and experienced management council to lead one of the oldest anjumans of the community was the need of the hour and Anjuman has rightfully organized the new management that assures greater success of the organization in the near future."

Speaking on the occasion Janab Tausif D Sayyed Saheb expressed his happiness that he got connected to the right platform at a time where a brother in faith counselled him to enhance his knowledge and advance in the right path. He happily conveyed that getting associated with Mehdavia Times not only fulfils the duty of  observing the basics of following truth, but also helps us in reviving our iman and enriching our thoughts and propagating the same to our brothers in faith too.

Janab Mohammed Sabeer Saheb took the opportunity to appreciate the professionalism advocated by Team Mehdavia Times of being highly qualified and demonstrating progressive thought process towards the upliftment of our community and also sought its kind support and cooperation in furthering the objective of the Anjuman.

Muslim students have been demanding that they be allowed inside the classes wearing headscarves while some Hindu extreamist students are opposing this and started wearing saffron shawls, until Hijab is banned. One of the student in hijab says "The college is forcing us to choose between studies and the hijab. I never expected this to happen in our college, even though a similar incident happened recently in PU College, Udupi."

When a hijabi Student Muskan Khan arrived at P.E.S. College of Science, Arts & Commerce, Mandya, gets heckled by students wearing saffron shawls chanting Jai Shree Ram. Then in defence she raises her hand & says Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar courageously before being escorted by College Staff.

Muskan informed that “Before me, a few other Muslim girls were also heckled in a similar manner. The college administration and the principal never prevented us from wearing the burqa, so why should I listen to outsiders?”

Her picture with raised hand chanting Allahu Akbar and the video of people wearing saffron shwals terrorising her chanting Jai Shree Ram became viral and she became the poster girl for the campaign to fight for the right to wear hijab. People took to internet to express their support to both the sides... while Muskan is been called as SHERNI, while those who surrounded he in hundreds are termed as Jackels. Her pictures, videos and interviews are flooded across all the media.

All our prayers are with her.  Proud to say that she is from my mohalla and my college. May Allah bless her and  protect all our sisters and daughters Aameen.

I personally called Janab Hussain Khan Ramzan Khan and congratulated him and his daughter yesterday night. ​Masha Allah he has raised a SHERNI... it was pleasure speaking with him yesterday night. 

Our district Mandya was never like this  before neither our college. We had a good unity in diversity, and enjoyed brotherhood among all the boys and girls of all religions. Hope peace will be restored soon and we don't get broken into pieces. 

I personally extend my gratitude and thanks to the Principal, HoDs, Lecturers and staff of P.E.S. College of Science, Arts & Commerce, Mandya for protecting and ushering her to safety. This shows that humanity and the core values of the institution are still alive.

Appearing on behalf of Muslim petitioners, senior advocate Devadatt Kamat argued in favour of wearing hijab in schools, stating that the headscarf is an integral part of the Islamic dress code as per Islamic scriptures.

Amid the hijab row engulfing more and more colleges in Karnataka, CM Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday ordered closure of all high schools and colleges for next three days in the state. Karnataka high court on Tuesday said, "We will go by reason, by law, not by passion or emotions." Students staged demonstrations outside Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College on Tuesday as a mark of protest against Muslim students wearing hijab. The students say they want equality and will wear this till Hijab is banned.

Justice Krishna Dixit has been hearing petitions filed by students of the Government Women’s Pre-University College seeking permission to wear hijabs in college. These students have been protesting for nearly a month. The court has posted the matter for further hearing on Wednesday.

Hijab is symbol of Islam, and is a common concern for all of us, we took the opportunity to extend our solidarity, that too she is a daughter of our neighborhood.

Sad Demise of Hz. Faqeer Alhaj Syed Shafiulla Khundmiri on 1st Rajab 1443H / 3 Feb 2022 in Bangalore

With deep regrets this is to inform you that Hz. Faqeer Alhaj Syed Shafiulla Khundmiri s/o Syed Hussain Sha Miyan on breathed his last at 5:00 am today ie., 1st Rajab 1443H / 3 Feb 2022 on the way to Chanptana from Bangalore near Kengeri.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّ إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

• Namaz-e-Janaza: 9:00 pm 
• Ba maqam : Masjid-e-Irfania ( Peer-o-Murshid Alhaj Syed Mustafa Miyan Khundmiri Ki Masjid), Chegate, Dairatul Islam, Chanpatna.
• Tadfeen: Chota Hazira (Peeche ka Gate)

Maruhum was hospitalised at HBS Hospital, Bangalore since last more than a week, and was undergoing treatment. He was taken home at the last hour of his life, and breathed his last on the way home.

Requesting all our brethren to kindly pray for the maghfirat of marhum. Hz. Faqeer Alhaj Syed Shafiulla Khundmiri was a staunch believer and who not only practiced mehdaviath but also was on a lifelong mission in preaching the teaching of  Hz. Syed Mohammed Mehdi Maud Juanpuri AHS.  He used to be on the panel of Advisors of Mehdavia Times since its inception, and also associated with many deeni idaras. His personality and services are so vast that one post is not enough to pen down them all. Insha Allah we will write more in future shortly. 

His elder son Syed Hamza is currently pursuing BE Civil Engineering.

May Allah shower his infinite mercy on Marhum with his divine vision (Deedar) and May Allah give Sabr-e-Jameel to all his relatives and family members.  Aameen.
